Chapter 5: Addition
What is addition?
Putting two or more things together and counting them is addition. The sign for addition is +. For example, 2 + 3 = 5. The answer of an addition is called the sum.
Things to remember
Adding 0 to a number gives the same number. Changing the order does not change the answer: 2 + 3 and 3 + 2 are both 5.
